To adjust the recitation speed:
- Open any Surah in the app.
- Tap the Play Audio button.
- Tap the Advanced Settings (⚙️) icon.
- Select Playback Speed.
- Choose your preferred speed from the available options.
This lets you listen at a pace that suits your learning or reflection style.
Note: Why are speed options limited?
We have intentionally limited the playback speed options to only Slower, Normal, and Faster modes to preserve the integrity of the Holy Qur’an’s recitation.
Speeding up the audio beyond these preset levels can cause distortion, potentially altering the correct Tajweed (pronunciation) and the intended meaning of the verses. By limiting these options, we ensure that the recitation remains clear, accurate, and maintains the sanctity of the text.
