In this article, we will discuss the Duas for Qurbani and Eid Al Adha. In the name of Allah, we begin.
Dua for Qurbani in Arabic and English
Say this dua before slautering animal/ Qurbani/ Udhiya:
Meaning: With the Name of Allah, Allah is the Most Great! [O Allah, from You and to You.] O Allah, accept it from me. [Muslim: 3/1557, Al Bayhaqi: 9/287, Hisnul Muslim: 246]
Saying Bismillah is compulsory, the rest is Mustahab.
The following verses of the Quran can also be said before sacrificing animals:
Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah (R) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed two rams on the day of Eid. During sacrificing, he turned them towards the Qibla and said (these verses of holy Quran):
Meaning: ‘Verily, I have turned my face towards Him Who has created the heavens and the earth, as a monotheist, and I am not of the polytheists.” [Sura Al-An’am, 6: 79]
Meaning: ‘Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists. He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.” [Sura Al-An’am, 6: 162-163]
[Sunan Abu Dawood, Musnad Ahmad, Sahih Ibn Khuzaimah]
Dua to Greet for Eid
Meaning: “May Allah accept from us and you (our good deeds)”. [At-Tabarani, Fathul Bari]
Takbeer At Tashreek
Say the following Takbeer after every Fard Salah from Fajr of 9th of Dhul Hijjah to Asr of 13th of Dhul Hijjah. Men should pronounce Takbeer loudly and women softly after each obligatory prayer.
In hadith, Takbeer E Taskreeq is mentioned in different words. The most common Takbeer is
